BUILDING BUZZ FOR A BRAND, AND A NATIONAL MOVEMENT TO ‘PACK IT OUT’!
A multiyear project, ‘Packing It Out’ included award-winning films, 40+ published articles, live events, activations, and tens-of-millions of impressions. Sponsor REI garnered brand awareness and association with what became a movement to clean up hiking trails across the USA.
20+ trail cleanup events across the U.S. built grassroots buzz and allowed fans and followers to engage IRL (in real life) with a project they’d been following on social media and video online.
Weekly updates, feature articles, interviews, and videos served as a realtime window into a living project. Microsite built on GearJunkie to host full ‘Packing It Out’ project and schedule for events. (View project)
VIDEO / FEATURE FILM
World-class video was a major part of this project. Our 2016 film was proudly awarded and featured in the prestigious Banff World Tour film fest. Facebook Live, Instagram-length edits, and YouTube videos comprised additional videos in a series that spanned two years.
