Buck Knives


Our annual "Day Of The Knife" project captures attention from hundreds of thousands of "knife junkies" around the world. A 30-day spree of content, social media, reader challenges, and giveaways, the online "event" cumulates in a real-world celebration -- the official "Day Of The Knife" -- in August each year.

The Result

Massive engagement from hundreds of thousands of GearJunkie readers as well as Buck Knives and Cabela’s fans (2014 event). Tens of thousands of Facebook followers gained to "Day Of The Knife" page and sponsor properties.

Microsite Built

Content, video, and giveaway features included on site, which was co-sponsored by Buck Knives and Cabela’s.

Content & Social

Monopoint worked with the editors at GearJunkie.com to build a month-long editorial calendar, create content and articles, and build a social media strategy to promote it all.


The project wrapped up with a $5000 knife and gear giveaway that captured buzz on social media via crowd-source voting that let readers choose who won.
