A statewide
Scavenger Hunt

Sponsored by the State Of Minnesota's Tourism Board (Explore Minnesota), Monopoint concepted and brought to life a major live event. The premise -- a statewide outdoor scavenger hunt -- was to encourage travel and exploration in Minnesota during the winter months.

The Result

Monopoint built to host the event, which included a mobile-friendly interface and geo-tagging features to allow participants to register and then "check in" at the points around the state. Thousands of people participated, motivated by the joy of travel and exploration.

Events & Prizing

Monopoint brought "Checkpoint MN" live to four events throughout the winter and secured a cache of $60,000 worth in prizes, including a snowmobile and vacation packages awarded to hundreds of participants.

Major media coverage

Live TV news features and newspaper articles, came from the PR push. Millions of impressions gained on social media over winter-long promotion.

Live Participation

Checkpoint MN wrapped up after 10 weeks of social media, content, giveaways, and (of course) thousands of hearty Minnesotans traveling and searching for checkpoints on trips across the state.
